SUMMARY OF THE PROJECT
There is no business-like show business – and that is especially true in Las Vegas. So what could be more obvious than to bring mining on stage in the city of showbiz?
At the Liebherr-Mining booth at MINExpo 2016, the central stage with a large LED wall formed the focus of the trade show presence. The fan-shaped booth architecture also contributed to directing the focus of attention to what was happening on the stage at all times.
A loose seating landscape was arranged in a semicircle around the stage. The stage programme with a well-dosed mixture of technical interviews with product managers and interaction with the audience caused the visitors to stay for a long time.Entertaining quiz shows on the subject of Liebherr Mining and fun facts about Las Vegas were played via TED. The response from the trade show visitors was great.
Another highlight of the trade show week was the unveiling of the T 236 mining truck – payload 100 t – with the help of a Kabuki curtain. Such a show element is nothing new for a product presentation at a renowned trade show, certainly not in Las Vegas. But a kabuki effect of such dimensions – a curtain 12 m high and around 50 m in circumference – is not something you see every day!
