LITEF VIRTUAL SHOWROOM IS ONLINE
With a virtual showroom, LITEF has recently started offering its customers the opportunity to get an overview of the extensive product portfolio in digital form.
However, the Freiburg-based technology company does not see the showroom merely as an alternative to being present at cancelled trade shows; rather, the virtual presentation is intended as a long-term and permanent communication platform.
In contrast to a real trade show booth, where usually only a part of the LITEF product range can be presented due to the topic of the fair, the visitor of the showroom gets an insight into all business areas of LITEF and the different application areas of the products. The offer of the showroom is completed through information on job vacancies, opportunities for internships and student research projects as well as training at LITEF.
Lutz Kampmann, Managing Director of LITEF, is pleased with the result: “New forms of communication are becoming increasingly important, especially in times of the Covid 19 pandemic. This applies not only to private life but also to the professional environment: trade shows do not take place and visits to customers can only be carried out to a very limited extent. With our virtual showroom, we ensure proximity to our customers even in times of travel restrictions and cancelled trade shows.”
DIGITAL INTERACTION INSTEAD OF PERSONAL ENCOUNTER
At https://showroom.litef.de/index.html, visitors are greeted in a friendly manner at the entrance, analogous to a real trade show. After that, a first difference to the analogue world already becomes apparent, because before entering the showroom, visitors are given some information on how it works and how to move around in the room. Now they have the choice and must decide: Do they want to jump straight into one of the business areas and find out about the products or do they still want to get an overview of the history of LITEF in the entrance area?
In the segments “Defence”, “Commercial Aviation” and “Industrial Solutions”, the product presentation is supplemented by corresponding data sheets and product descriptions when clicking on the “+”. The video clips integrated in the showroom provide the visitor with information on the respective areas of application of the products or their mode of operation. The visitor can contact LITEF via the e-mail links.
The basic concept for the showroom was provided by the agency plan-j® from Frankfurt/Main (https://plan-j.eu/). Together with LITEF’s marketing and sales team, plan-j® defined the requirements for the showroom and realised the various wishes regarding content and presentation. Joe Kinze and Timo Joél, both Managing Directors at plan-j®, are proud of their team’s achievement: “With the virtual showroom, we wanted to create more than a digital trade show booth for LITEF. It should rather be a digital world of experience in which visitors can immerse themselves realistically in the product world of LITEF”.
